The UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON Fall/Winter 2019 Collection is Inspired by Modern and Open British Outdoor Style

If you've ever gone on vacation to a colder-than-the-Philippines country, then you'll know the struggle of finding good fall and winter wear in Manila. I don't know about you, but my number one ultimate go-to for fall and winter wear has always been UNIQLO.

Because of this, hearing about the UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON Fall/Winter 2019 collection has gotten me super excited for my next out-of-the-country trip. The fourth collaboration line with the London-based JW ANDERSON brand is out now with the theme the Great British Outdoors.

Drawing inspiration from the town of St. Ives in Cornwall, England (which is known for its seamless blend of art and nature), this new LifeWear offering fuses traditional British elements with the modern designs of JW ANDERSON.

Inspired from his childhood memories, traditional British patterns such as tartans and warm Nordic designs are the main patterns for outerwear, skirts, innerwear, and accessories.

Once again, this collaboration also includes reversible items that have become a collaboration standard.New this season are down jackets and coats with splashes of vivid yellows and greens over an earthy base. Down jackets for both men and women feature neutral and classic tones on the outside with contrasting colors on the inside.

And my ultimate UNIQLO lifesaver: the HEATTECH line. The HEATTECH Warm Easy Pants of this collection are lined with HEATTECH fleece, and come with exceedingly practical features including a webbing belt that can be easily adjusted with one hand and side pockets accented with colorful bungee cords.

The women’s AIRism leggings and half-zip tees, on the other hand, prevent stuffiness and maintain comfort even in winter with striking triple color borderline designs that give edgy accents to traditional collection items. To check out the rest of the collection, visit the UNIQLO website today. :)

U Shop, U Win is basically a Facebook game application that will let you use your virtual shopping points to purchase items at the virtual Uniqlo store, which - bee tee dub - looks uncannily like its actual store at SM Mall of Asia.

This is how it works (with pictures this time!):

Go to the Uniqlo Philippines Facebook page and click on the U-Shop. U-Win. tab.

Once you click on "Start Playing Now", you will be asked to register and create your own avatar. The choices are rather limited and it doesn't really matter, but once you have your own avatar ready, you will be taken to this screen:

This screen basically tells you everything that you need to know in order to play the game.

Then you will be brought to the virtual SM Mall of Asia Uniqlo store where the game will officially begin.

Once inside, you can go through racks of different men's and women's clothing and accessories and shop with your available virtual shopping points.

If you are running low on shopping points, no worries - you can just click on the tabs on the top part of the gaming screen (13SS Collection, Uniqlo Website, and Aura Opening) to get more and find out more about Uniqlo's 2013 Spring/Summer Collection, the brand itself and its SM Aura opening at Bonifacio Global City.

When choosing the items that you want to buy in the virtual store, you will be shown the price and the different colors underneath. Add whatever you want to your cart and when your done with your virtual shopping, head on over to the cashier section.

As you can see, it looks exactly like the Uniqlo SM Mall of Asia cashiers, as well! This is where the game of luck comes in. When about to pay for your items, you will have to choose one of these lucky cashiers to claim an instant prize after each game that you play.

Most of the time, you will get 500 additional shopping points for your next game, but if you're lucky, you'll get a minor prize. I've actually already won a Uniqlo gift certificate worth 500 pesos myself! Double woot!
