When in Doubt, Fix Your Hair.

I never thought I'd live to see the day where I would be wearing a white-on-white ensemble. Now that I'm drafting this post, I still don't believe it, and yet here it is. :p Let me know what you think! :)

This was taken on a random ATC date with le boyf and le bebe.

I don't know what to do with my hands, so let me fix my hair and fix my hair and fix my hair some more. :))

denim jacket from Uniqlo
owl bag from Accessorize

One of my favorite cheap finds this month was this denim jacket from Uniqlo. Can you believe that this piece is only Php799? I almost died! I had a hard time deciding which one to get, too, because it's available in every color imaginable. I decided to get it in classic denim blue, though. At my age, classic basics are always the best choices!

Another difficult decision came in the form of these bow flats from Impulse Co (In Her Shoes). I literally sat at the Greenbelt bazaar and tried on every single design and color in my size before deciding on this one. No regrets! They're super comfy and cute, and they really stand out! Love them! :)

Marvel silly bands from Fully Booked

As for this last favorite find in this outfit post... Man. I used to look through every single pack of silly bands possible for these Marvel ones and - lo and behold! - I found them on sale in Greenbelt. Check them out!

Damn straight, that's Wolverine, Spider-Man and Captain America, yo! Love love LOVE!!!

By the way, it's Bloggers United 5 this Saturday! Who's excited? I'll be chilling around Dave's booth, as ush. Hope to see you there! :)

Philips Has Some Great Gift Ideas for Moms!

Ahhh. June is once again almost upon us and for me, that means my parents' birthdays are just around the bend. Since my mom is incredibly difficult to please, you can only imagine how freaked out I am at the the thought of having to come up with a decent birthday present for her.

Since pampering her, taking her to a spa and taking her out to eat never seem to satisfy her, I thought I'd turn to Philips for help on this department. Here are their top three gift ideas for me to give to my mom (though I'd really rather just get them for myself... :p What? I'm a mom, too!):

The Philips Avance Juicer

I was originally thinking about getting my mom an ab-cruncher, but then I thought: who wants to be given something that will force you to work out and potentially make you cry when things don't work out the way that you want? :p

So, instead of focusing on exercise, I figured it would be nice to focus on her diet instead by providing her with a healthier way to prepare juices: a juicer that doesn't require pre-cutting or peeling and gives every bit of nutrients that she needs.

The Avance Juicer is easy to assemble, use and clean, too. Plus, it produces 10% more juice compared to other juicers - just what we need at home!

The Philips ActiveCare Hair Dryer

I also thought about surprising my mom with a trip to the salon, but then figured that wouldn't last very long.

With the Philips ActiveCare Hair Dryer, my mom can get a makeover at home anytime she wants to without damaging her hair in any way, thanks to its Even Heat Distribution technology.

Not only will the Philips ActiveCare Hair Dryer make my mom look great during her birthday dinner, but it will keep her looking beautiful everyday, even when she doesn't have time to go to the salon.

The Philips FlexCare Plus Toothbrush

To keep my mom's teeth healthy and pearly, the last thing on my potential list is the Philips FlexCare Plus toothbrush.

Not only will this toothbrush provide superior cleaning action, but it can also help improve gum health in just two weeks. For an electronic toothbrush, it is pretty easy to use, too.

With such a hard-to-please mom by my side, it is important for me to find the best gift to give her. Hopefully, one of these gifts will do the trick. What do you think? Which one should I go for? :)

The Hard in Goodbye.

I'm generally not very fond of saying goodbye.

red mullet skirt from Sarah Tirona

Even if I put up a strong front, chances are that, the minute the person I'm saying goodbye to has turned around, left the premises or left for good; I'll be bawling in the corner like a child whose ice cream scoop fell on the floor.

There are people, though, that I don't mind letting go and wouldn't even bother saying goodbye, too. When it comes to those people, the aforementioned paragraph doesn't count.

feathered fedora hat from Folded and Hung

For people that I do love, though, saying goodbye is always hard. And the same goes for growing up. A very close friend of mine is about to get married and while moving away pretty much ended the best-friendship that we had, I know that marriage is a completely different step, in that nothing will ever be the same again when I visit and all.

Mango Minnie Mouse top from TOPS

All I want to do is sit on those steps in front of Burger King, hug him a bit tighter in his car while our song is playing in the background, take in that Armani scent a bit longer and commit all of those things to memory.

angel wings heart ring from Bangkok

Time never stops for anyone. But if it did, I would want mine to stop with any of my memories with Mike - one of the few people in the world who truly made me feel loved, cared for, important, and infinite.

black lace flats from Belmondo

I hope you have at least one of those people in your life. And if you do, never forget to let them know how much you love them every single day. Even if you are miles apart.

Regrets suck. Take it from me.

Wore this outfit when we watched "The Great Gatsby", by the way. Tell me what you think :)

Goals.

I have several big goals in life right now - one of which is to lose enough weight to fit back into all of those skinny ass clothes that I still have in my closet before they rot.

Looking at these pictures that were taken a few days ago at Gerd's house in Cavite, it has become all the more clear to me how much harder I have to work to achieve my dream body of me in late 2011.

I'm clearly a work in progress. Now it's all about amping up these baby steps I've been taking and leaping a lil farther with my workouts everyday. I. CAN. DO. THIS.

Despite the minimal progress I've made on weight loss this 2013, I'm gonna keep keeping a smile on my face! :)

Positivity FTW!

Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Soap: My Current Go-To Soap

I'll be honest: the only Godiva I knew about before I was given the chance to try out Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Soap was the seashell chocolate kind.

I'm pretty open to trying out new things, though, so I welcomed the Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Soap with open arms.

The Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Soap is available in 135g for Php60 and 65g for Php30, and is known to whiten, cleanse and even out any skin discolorations.

Unfortunately, I tried out this soap during the summer, when I basked in the sun more often than not, so I'm not sure if I actually got whiter or anything, but I definitely noticed that my skin is much smoother, softer and brighter now. It has that "glow" - you know what I mean? My boyfriend definitely noticed it, too. :) And he didn't even know I started using new soap!

The Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Soap is also very gentle and doesn't dry out the skin. Because of this, it is officially the very first soap that I have ever used on my face.

What I noticed most about it, though, is that it doesn't provide that creamy smooth feeling after a shower. However, it does make you feel clean and soft instead. It also lasts much longer than other whitening soaps out there.

Also unlike other whitening soaps out there, Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Soap consists of licorice, which is a highly effective skin whitener out there. However, it is less used compared to papaya because it is more expensive overall. Well, now you can enjoy it in a wide range of Godiva whitening products.

Would I use this soap again? Definitely. In fact, as of the moment, it is my go-to soap for its price, long life, and the feeling that I get from the soap afterwards. Plus, I haven't found anything that I don't like about the soap so far - definitely worth the investment! :)

For more information, feel free to like Godiva Skin on Facebook! :)

Time, The Ultimate Trickster.

Isn't it strange how some moments in life seem to go on for ages and others seem to pass us by so quickly, you start wondering how the hell that happened?

I've been staring at my daughter for unknown reasons lately, remembering how my half an hour of pushing felt like an eternity, and now *poof* she's three. How the fuck did that happen?

Anyway, since I'm reminiscing about the past and since it's Thursday, I thought it would be nice to do a throwback post. I have a lot of outfit posts in my laptop that haven't been blogged, either out of sheer laziness, pure forgetfulness or the fear of going back to a time that I either miss or abhor.

Anyway, here's one of them, taken by Gerd Perez last December - a time that I miss, but wouldn't necessarily want to go back to:

blue flats from Manels
blue pleated skirt from F-Stop
white musical note top from I Heart Matilda

infinity ring from Seraphim
man with a mustache ring from Seraphim
black infinity necklace from Crave More

bangles from Bangkok
owl bag from Chick Flick

Ahh. Back when owls and infinite symbols were my life.

What are you missing at the moment? :)

Proud People Breed Sad Sorrows for Themselves.

There's this certain someone in my life - I'm sure you can guess who - who always seems to have a say in what I do, say or, well, wear. In fact, every day, I hear that person ask, "What are you wearing? Are you forgetting you're *censored* years old now?"

So, in an attempt to appease that certain someone, I have tried to dress the way I think that person thinks a "respectable" *censored*-year-old woman would dress.

I'm not too fond of this particular kind of look, but I'm sure I could get used to it... maybe when my inner child finally decides to grow up. :p

grey slouchy pants from Chick Flick
neon-bottomed heels from SM Parisian

silly bands from Fully Booked
Italian murano glass necklace from Bangkok
green sleeveless top from 7 For All Mankind

Yes, I impulse-bought silly bands at Fully Booked that day. Like I said, my inner child hasn't grown up yet. :p I'll have an outfit post properly featuring them up soon! :D

owl bag from Accessorize
man-with-a-mustache ring from Seraphim

What do you think? Do I look more my age in these photos? :p ...do you even know how old I am? :o Haha. Oh, time, please stop the aging process.

BeautyBook: Learn about the A to Z of Beauty

I don't know about you, but I love beautifying myself. Well, trying to, at least. I could spend hours just trying out different kinds of makeup and months trying out different skin care products to see which ones suit me best.

Although I am a beauty junkie, I have to admit that I'm no beauty expert, though. I actually also spend hours on the Internet watching videos and reading tutorials on how to do something perfectly before I share any knowledge on my blog.

While I used to hop from website to website and from video to video, though, I have a one-stop portal for all things beauty-related now: BeautyBook.

BeautyBook is the ultimate beauty bible for the modern Filipina as it covers the A to Z of beauty, from beauty essentials to edgy high fashion trends for the modern Filipina woman.

It currently covers four beauty matters.

"Hair Story: All About Hair" is where you can get tips on hair care, hairstyle guides and know about the latest hair trends. I actually wrote an article for them this month! :)

You can check out the full article here.

Other featured bloggers this month include Charlene Ajose and Shen Gee. :)

"Skin Ever After: All About Skin" gives insights on proper skin care and how to maintain healthy skin all year round.

Check out how Vern Enciso takes care of her skin here.

"Magic Glam: Fashion & Make Up" is the ultimate source for today's fashion and makeup trends.

Read Kryz Uy's 5 Tips for Summertime Dressing here.

Lastly, "The Royal Treatment: Beauty Deals" lists beauty bargains that every woman will love.

Every month, BeautyBook invites various online experts to share fashion-forward style insights and beauty wisdom in every article, including the style and beauty bloggers mentioned above.

Check out the website yourself right here! :) You can also like them on Facebook, if you want. You'll love it. I'm sure of it. :)
