Want a Pair of World Balance Shoes?

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you might have come across this outfit post where I wore the red Alexa shoes from World Balance. Well, here's another outfit post - albeit a very casual one - of me wearing another cutesy pair from World Balance that I am absolutely in love with: the blue Lacey shoes! :D

cropped jeans from Human
American flag top from Thread Manila

sunglasses from Folded & Hung
dangling feather earring from Sisters Act

The blue Lacey shoes from World Balance!

Although not as comfy as the Alexas... coz I'm lazy, and this one has laces :p ...this pair is definitely just as cute! I absolutely love its bright colors and since yellow is my favorite color, it shouldn't be a surprise that I chose this pair to add to my collection. :)

If you want to win a pair of World Balance shoes from their brand new, not-yet-released collection; then you have 5 more days to do so here:

bebe Philippines is Finally Open in Manila!

bebe used to be my go-to place for all things sexy back when I lived in Bangkok. In my dreams, at least. Weighing in at more than 150 pounds at the time, my 5'1" physique could only dream of fitting into the slender and sexy silhouettes that bebe's clothing had to offer. Truth hurts. :p

So, you can only imagine how ecstatic I was when I received an invite for the bebe store launch. I actually received the invite waaay in advance and completely prepped myself for it for about a month. All I could really think was "Now that I finally weigh less than 150 pounds and can actually fit into bebe clothes, I am going to shop the fuck out of that store." Pardon my French, but that is totally what went down.

Well, here it is. The store has finally opened in Shangri-la Plaza Mall and with it, came their pre-fall line "California Sentiments". Check it out:

As mentioned earlier, bebe was my dream go-to store for sexiness. As such, it shouldn't come as a surprise that "California Sentiments" has eye-catching bandage dresses in it.

That statement-making aztec print dress on the right in itself can already bring contemporary fashion into any classic bebe woman's closet!

Bodycon dresses, cutout dresses, flowing high-low dresses and peplum tops make up the key pieces of "California Sentiments". Add some metallic jewelry with chain details and hammered treatments, and the signature bebe glamor will instantly pop out!

I need that moto jacket in my life!!!

As you can see, I was totally engrossed in the fashion show.
Outfit post is now pending! Wait for it! :)

What really utterly and downright crazily dominated my mind that night, though, was their formal dresses. I actually spent a good two hours or so contemplating whether I should get one of the following for a birthday party that I didn't even end up attending. Lol.

At Php12,500 and Php14,500, respectively, though, I ended up opting for a comfy hoodie and matching comfy pants for my shopping spree instead. Will be shooting the fuck out of them during our Baguio trip next week! Pardon my French again, but I can't wait! :D

The best part is that bebe Philippines will be releasing new items every week and new collections every month, so there will always be something sexy to look forward to! :)

For more information and updates, visit bebe Philippines on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/BebePhilippines), and follow bebe Philippines on Instagram and Twitter at @bebePhilippines :)

Girl on the Go

I love my heels. Nothing will ever change that. However, on days when there are just too many places to go to and there is too much laziness in my bones, flats are my saving grace. So I'm extremely thankful that Butterfly Twists sent me these flats over to help me out during my days of need.

On the day that these photos were taken, Gerd and I had croughnuts at Cafe France and then coffee at Cafe Boheme (we clearly like cafes) and then went to church (the couple that prays together stays together haha). My new lacy Butterfly Twists were perfect for the day! :)

Will my love affair with bars ever end? :p

As mentioned earlier, these flats are perfect for any girl on the go. They are chic and compact - perfect for whenever you want to comfortably walk around for a long time, go shopping, travel or just look chic, in general.

I love that these flats are easy to fold away and pop into any bag - even the small one that I am carrying with me in these pictures.

However, I wouldn't advise wearing them when it is raining. They get quite uncomfortable (and make squishy sounds) pretty quickly. :( They take a while to dry out, too. Tried and tested... sadly. Lol. Yup. We got caught in a rainstorm after mass!

Do you own a pair of Butterfly Twists yet? :) What do you think of them? This is my third pair so far and I can't wait to get my hands on the boots that they now have available in stores. Yup. That's right. THEY HAVE FOLDABLE BOOTS NOW. *hears the hallelujah chorus* :p Will definitely get them for our Baguio trip next week! :) #excited

adidas Unite All Originals Fall/Winter 2013: The Ultimate Culture Clash

In the latest adidas Original campaign for Fall/Winter 2013, two music icons (Run DMC and DJ A-Trak) go head-to-head in the ultimate culture clash.

Sparks will definitely fly in the studio when these two legends create a modern anthem that will unite all originals. From the very beginning, Run DMC has collided with cultures and inspired other people. In fact, they were the first ones to unite hip hop with rock and fashion with music. Well, they're back once again - and with an interactive film at that!

Set in New York, Run DMC will play in a music video that their very own fans will be able to control with voice commands. They will also be able to add visual effects as they see fit, influence the video and trigger animations and special effects. Talk about a zeitgeist moment!

Here in the Philippines, adidas Philippines will be coming out with the new range of adidas Originals, including the following classic silhouettes:

The ZX, which was famous in the 80's for its amazing cushion and which I love for obvious reasons *cough* patriotic Wonder Woman colors *cough*. I definitely want to add this one to my current shoe collection!

The LA Trainer, which is another one of my favorites coz it's in my favorite color: yellow! :D This was one of adidas' first cross-trainers that featured an outsole fit for both indoor and outdoor wear.

The iconic and all-original adidas SL72, which was first launched in 1972 during the Olympic Games in Munich.

And the adiStar Racer, which is sleek and lightweight and has a more retro running shoe look.

Are you a fan of sports shoes? Which adidas Philippines one is your favorite? Do share! :)

Getting a haircut is one of the many ways to move on.

Sometimes, getting a haircut is one of the many ways to move on. In fact, I'll be the first one to admit that I always get a haircut after a bad breakup. Without fail.

This time, though, I cut my hair for the mere reason that I was sick of my long, flat, stubborn and heavy hair. I find it funny that people ask me why I cut my hair and I really wish I had some epic breakup story to tell; or, like Beyonce, an anecdote about how my long gorgeous hair got stuck in an electric fan. But no. I'm more of a Britney and a Miley when it comes to this haircut. I just felt like it. End of story.

Will be blogging about the experience soon! :)
The lipstick I'm using is Revlon Colorburst's Candy Apple.

Guess who the three dots represent in my life right now! ;)

Just one of those random impulse buys! :D

With less hair, I have absolutely no idea what to do with my hands when it comes to outfit-shot time. Lol.

I hope you like it. Or, at the very least, appreciate that I had the balls to try it out now that I'm older.

See, I had the same haircut when I was 12 and flat-chested and everyone in California thought I was a boy. That pretty much convinced me never to cut my hair again. Well, times are a'changing, and I've got me some lady lumps now, so I thought: why not?

As for those who have been putting my new hairdo down... Can't you just bash my hair behind my back like a normal high school girl? Haha. I'm just kidding. But, seriously? I cut my hair for me. And I am well aware that hair takes a long time to grow back, but the point is that it will grow back, so cut me some slack, please? :)

Need I remind you that I had an undercut before? There's nothing wrong with taking a crazy plunge. Change is good every once in a while. It helps you grow and become more comfortable in your own skin. :)

When was the last time you took a crazy plunge? :)

Ben Affleck as Batman: Why I Think He's an Awesome Choice

Ben Affleck as Batman.

Oh, where do I begin? Well, sometime last month, my-not-so-geeky boyfriend asked geeky-me completely out of the blue who I would want to don the Batman suit next. I remember not knowing what to say coz - I know... this next statement surprises me, too - I hadn't thought about it at all. Okay, okay. I admit I may or may not have said Zac Efron. Fine. But now that the news has broken about Ben Affleck as Batman, I am actually nodding my head in approval.

Come on, guys. Don't roll your eyes at me. Remember: it could have been Ryan Gosling.

Ben Affleck as Batman: Why I Think He's an Awesome Choice

Ben Affleck as Batman: He Will Look Good in the Batsuit

via thefancarpet.com

I remember how - exactly ten years ago - I almost died of happiness when Christian Bale was cast as Batman because, let's face it: Christian Bale is perfect in every physical-looking way. Of course, I loved Michael Keaton as Batman, too, but he wasn't attractive enough for me to get my panties in a twist. And I loooved Val Kilmer coz of his lips and now I love Ben Affleck because of his chin. (George Clooney isn't mentioned on purpose.)

In fact, I don't care what anybody says. Put the Batmask on Ben Affleck and he will look amazing. Men and women alike would want to hump him. And yes, this totes matters.

Ben Affleck as Batman: Coz I'm Sick of Christian Bale as Batman.

Yes, I loved that Christian was Batman ten years ago (yes, we're on a first-name basis), but three ever-so-semi-boring movies later, I'm pretty sick of seeing him in the role, TBH. Yes, I'm one of the few people who think his Batman movies are over-rated.

While some people repeatedly pointed out that they can't forget about "Daredevil", I need to point out that I can't forget about Christian Bale being a complete asshole on set.

via tmz.com

Things haven't been the same between Christian and me since then. :p And besides, he's the one who wanted more than $60 million to don the Batsuit again, so good riddance. Ben Affleck as Batman it is!

Ben Affleck as Batman: He Can Move On From Daredevil.

Obviously, Ben (yes, we're on a first-name basis, too) realized that "Daredevil" didn't work out too well for him. (The soundtrack was amazeballs, though!) Which is why he moved on to other things.

via ifanboy.com

So, instead of focusing on "Daredevil" - which was just one sucky movie... really, can you name another? - how about remembering "Good Will Hunting", "Armageddon", "Shakespeare in Love", "Sum of All Fears", "Hollywoodland", "The Town" and "Argo" for a change? And hello, need I mention the always-epic Kevin Smith movies that he was in?

At least he didn't get stuck in a rut *cough*Johnny Depp*cough* and has matured and become better since then. Give him some credit!

Ben Affleck as Batman: He Can Direct It!

While I may not have thought of Ben Affleck as Batman himself, I did hope that he would direct it. Well, since he's in it... better chances of that? Maybe? No? Too much Ben Affleck love in here?

via sasstag.com

Ben Affleck as Batman: He Would Look Good Next to Henry Cavill.

Ben may not be drop-dead gorgeous, but come on. I heard some rumors about that "Teen Wolf" kid being Batman. And then Ryan Gosling. And that old guy, Josh Brolin. :p And Joe Manganiello, whom I can only see as that "Magic Mike" stripper now. And, you know, my loves Zac Efron was mentioned, too. At least Ben Affleck as Batman won't look awkward next to Henry Cavill as Superman. Always look on the bright side!

via au.ibtimes.com

Ben Affleck as Batman: Everybody Knows Him.

Of course, this matters, too. If you put somebody unknown in the Batsuit, not a lot of people will care - unless he's super duper hot coz we live in a superficial world like that (see first reason on why I think Ben Affleck as Batman is an awesome choice).

Plus, you know what? Even the haters will watch Ben Affleck as Batman, if only just to prove that they're right about Ben Affleck as Batman sucking balls.

I love how the refreshingly open-minded Julz Maramba put it best, though: "Why not? Once, everybody thought that Michael Keaton, a comedian, couldn't pull it off. But then he did." AMEN!

via flickchart.com

What do you think? Are you happy about the news of Ben Affleck as Batman? Feel free to tell me in the comments section... preferably not in a whiny manner if you don't like the casting. Coz, let's face it: you already lost, so what's the point? :p

Miko Carreon: The Man Who Completed My Life (naks!)

If people ever ask me where my life in Manila truly began, I will point to the day that I stalked met Miko Carreon. I remember finding out about Miko from a shoot that a certain shoe brand had, falling in love with his style, stalking his blog posts on his Bangkok trips (my hometown), and going all the way to the North just to meet him. :p The truth is out!

Miko and I became fast friends after that, thanks to blogger's events and the world of BlackBerry messaging. He warned me when my crushes were gay. He tried setting me up with his friends. We shared our deep and dark secrets. And he was always there whenever I needed someone to rely on. Al-fucking-ways. Without fail.

Miko is one of the very few people that I have in my life right now that I truly trust because I can tell him anything without feeling like I'm being judged. He also always knows exactly what to say to make me feel better, put a smile on my face and make me laugh when I need it the most.

Another thing is: I met Gerd through Miko.
And another thing is: I met David through Miko.

So, when I say that Miko completed me, that really isn't an understatement. Without Miko, none of this would have happened, and that's a fact:

Cheers to my "anak" - the one who brought us all together and without whom my life would be stone-cold boring. Here's to more days of bonding, laughter and craziness! Happy birthday (again and again and again haha)! I love you! :)

...Parang best man speech lang. Haha. :)
