I'm not the biggest Selena Gomez fan. Not songs-wise anyway. I'm more of a rocker chick. So, when I received news that I'd be getting tickets to her concert tonight, I wasn't exactly jumping up and down. My boyfriend was, though, so obviously, I decided to make his wish come true.
I have, however, always loved Selena Gomez looks-wise. I think she's the cutest thing since Puss in Boots and I've always loved her style and her quirky attitude in interviews. (Remember me gushing about her adidas Neo collection three years ago?) Plus, she's my idol for having dated Justin Bieber for so long. How to be u po!!!
Anyway, our graphic designer at When in Manila went to the airport to catch a glimpse of her last night and recounted that the fans went WILD upon Selena's arrival - so much so that she wasn't able to see her at all! She also attempted to Facebook Live the arrival, but that didn't really work out well. Lol.
And then I got an email from Wilbros Live with this photo:
In the email, Wilbros said that this was the ONLY clear photo of Selena's arrival at the airport so far. Let me just point out that there were a lot of other people there and yet only ONE clear photo was taken because of the mob. Crazy! Props to Patrick Lasanas for capturing this!
Now I suddenly cannot wait to catch Selena Gomez live! Who else is going to watch her tonight? :) Hope to see you there!

Jolly Kiddie Meal's Arctic Buddies: Fun and Educational Toys Your Kids Will Love
A lot of the time, when fast food establishments release toys, they make sure the toys are cute, fun or cute and fun. It isn't everyday they release toys that are both fun and educational.
As such, it was such a delight for me as a mom to see that the Jolly Kiddie Meal Arctic Buddies are exactly that. The best part is that they didn't compromise on the fun and cuteness factors of the toys.
The Jolly Kiddie Meal Arctic Buddies were inspired by the loveable characters of the fifth sequel of Ice Age, Ice Age: Collision Course.
In line with this offering, Jollibee hosted a special blog screening earlier this month hosted by Radio DJ Tracy Abad with fun games and exciting prizes.
Jollibee also introduced Scrat Chat, a mobile game that allows users to use SnapChat and swap faces with their favorite Ice Age characters.
Make sure you like Jollibee on Facebook and follow them on Twitter (@Jollibee) and Instagram (@bestfriendjollibee). :)

The four collectibles include Sid, Manny, Scrat and Buck, all of which are packed into a cute Jolly Joy Box featuring none other than Jollibee! The box also has fun activities that kids can enjoy, including a board game, a word puzzle and spot the difference. You can also use the box to store the toys when not in use.
Syrena's favourites are Scrat and Buck, though. Scrat is a sharpener, but also works as a rocket toy with Scrat flying out when you press a button (make sure your kids don't aim it at anything breakable, though!), while Buck is a stamp that pops up whenever you press down on him.
Sid is a pen with Sid sliding up and down the pen and I'd highly recommend matching him with Manny, a memo pad. :) Either way, all of the toys are cute and fun, and very useful, especially for kids who are already in school.
Make sure you collect them all soon, though, as they will only be available at Jollibee until August 31, 2016!

No Longer a Storm Disguised as a Cloudy Evening
I've been looking back on past relationships (and almost-relationships) a lot lately. (I blame that stupid On This Day thing on Facebook! Lol.) And I've noticed that I was an annoying piece of shit most of the time.
My On This Days are filled with rants and depressing realisations and on the days when I actually have something good to say about the guys that I was dating, I usually withheld the bad stuff - and there was a lot of that… the bad stuff.
grey Top Gun top from Romwe / grey jogger pants from RRJ / yellow socks from Proppy Socks / triple black Airmax sneakers from Nike
Based on my On This Days, I was a very unhappy person. And if you've known me for the past five years, you'll know how much shit I've gone through in terms of men guys cheaters and I've done nothing but whine and complain about my so-called "love life". Well, things have finally changed for the better (and I actually mean it this time :p).
It may be a bit early to be talking about 'forever', but I have finally found someone I can truly be my true self with. It isn't until I met Julian that I realised that I had been settling for less than I wanted all this time.
Yes, I dated some great guys along the way and I really liked all of them at the time, but there was always something that I simply settled for because I believed that nobody could be perfect. Since I believed that there was no such thing as perfect, I lowered my personal standards and tried to make things work. They never did.
I know this sounds like such codswallop (I personally never believed my friends whenever they told me this, either), but there is such a thing as a perfect someone out there for you. They may not be a perfect person, in general, but they will be perfect for you.
According to On This Day, I was at a bookstore with a guy two years ago and I squealed when I saw a book I had been looking for. The guy I was with at the time told me to please keep it down and asked me to keep my weirdness at bay because we were in public.
These days, whenever I squeal - no matter how stupid the reason - Julian just laughs and tells me he loves me. He also speaks English well, so we communicate well (I never have to cringe inside because of poor grammar or anything!) and he supports my job, crazy schedule and last-minute cancellations like no other.
Obviously, everyone has their own set of standards and what they deem important in my life. For me, that's language, weirdness, geekiness, work and Syrena - and I am so god darned lucky to have finally found someone who accepts everything about me and understands my priorities in life.
So, if you're recently heartbroken or are currently re-considering your decisions of the heart, remember that you should never settle. No matter what. There is someone perfect for you out there. Believe. :)
