Tagaytay: The Best Place to Embrace the Heat without Going Too Far

I used to work from home - and man, it was the dream! Earlier this year, however, I had to get surgery… and it cost a bitchload of money, which hit especially hard because I didn't have health insurance of any kind. Now, I have a proper job with health insurance, good pay, fun new friends and - unfortunately - a proper working schedule.

Now, don't get me wrong. I love my job. However, I do miss being able to just pack my bags and travel whenever I feel like it. Fortunately, there are still that one place that is easy to get to and enjoy on my days off: Tagaytay!

Why is Tagaytay my go-to place? Well, for one, it's so darned near (especially for me coz I live in the South. Secondly, you don't even have to stay there if you don't have the luxury of time to. You can just day trip it! And lastly, it isn't as hot there as it is in Manila.

If you decide to day trip it, here are some things you can do in Tagaytay:

Touch a camel.

Enjoy laughter and cheap food.

And wait for the sun to set.

You don't even have to say goodbye to civilisation if you don't want to, either, because there are so many places to go to in Tagaytay, including beer pong places, delicious food spots, Starbucks and this bunch of fun stuff:

Okay, wait. Let me breathe for a second. That turned out to become the ultimate trip down memory lane. Sigh.
