The Spa Wellness Provides a Modern Luxe Health Spa Experience at Their Latest Shangri-La Branch

The Spa Wellness Provides a Modern Luxe Health Spa Experience at Their Latest Shangri-La Branch

It is no secret that I am a huge barre3 aficionado. In case you didn't know, though, barre3 is always located in their respective The Spa branches, namely at TriNoma, Richmonde Hotel Eastwood, Rockwell, Bonifacio High Street, Alabang Town Center and Shangri-La Mall.

To be perfectly honest, I have never visited a branch of The Spa that I didn't like. Even if it is located in a busy mall, the minute you walk into The Spa, you will feel like you have been transported into a whole different place. The lights are dim, the air smells of tranquility-heaven, and each branch creates a look reminiscent of renowned international spas.

In Shangri-La Mall, the theme is Modern Luxe.

The Spa Wellness in Shangri-La Mall

The Spa pioneered the concept of luxurious rejuvenation through its massage therapies, body treatments, sublime facials and excellent standards.

Since I used to only work out at The Spa, I was happy to finally have been able to try out one of their amazing body treatments during the opening of The Spa Wellness at Shangri-La Mall and I absolutely loved it.

In fact, it was so relaxing, I dozed off twice. :p

P.S. This isn't me, but you get the picture. :p

As you can see, The Spa is definitely more than just a spa institution now. The Spa Wellness provides a tranquil spirit, a strong body, radiant skin and beyond. "Total wellness is true beauty" has never been truer than at The Spa Wellness.

Want to try out The Spa out for yourself? Then you are in luck for I am hosting an awesome giveaway wherein you can try out their Light and Luminuous Facial. All that you have to do is fill out this Rafflecopter form. :)

Good luck! :)

Surf Fabric Conditioner: Now with Aromatherapy

Yes, you read that right. Surf's latest line of fabric conditioners comes with aromatherapy. But I'll get to that later.

When Fuentes Manila invited me to the launch of Surf's new fabric conditioners a few months ago, I was intrigued because they mentioned that we would be getting spa services and treatments at the launch.

Before going, I racked my head trying to figure out what spa services and treatments had to do with fabric conditioner. But when I got to Aracama at the Fort for the launch, all of the questions in my head automatically vanished because this is what we were greeted by:

Brochures of various spas to visit.

Free hand massages, which Jacky and Catch were clearly enjoying, as you can see.

Head massages, which Verge and Lorenz were clearly enjoying, as you can see.

And back massages, which I sadly wasn't able to enjoy coz I was wearing a skirt that day. :( I hate being unprepared! Lol. (Outfit post next time!)

After the epic massages, we went on to have dinner while waiting for the program to start. When it did, we were presented with the latest line of Surf fabric conditioners along with this epic television commercial, which is hands down the best TVC I had seen in a very long while:

It's so simple, yet it's so witty and gets the message across in a heartbeat. EPIC. Just by watching this commercial, you will already know full well what Surf currently has to offer.

In case you need me to break it down for you anyway, here we go: Surf's new aromatherapy fabric conditioners can relax, energize and purify you as it has essential oils in it that are known to be very therapeutic.

With the new Surf aromatherapy fabric conditioners, you won't just end up with clothes that are soft and smell great, but you can enjoy a relaxing and therapeutic experience every time you do the laundry with them, too. (They actually smell so good, I contemplated turning them into condo fresheners. #truth)

They also had a raffle after the event, and I am proud to say that we all went home with a prize that night (except Verge LOL). The "loot bags" were unforgettable, too:

Epic night! Haha.

The Surf aromatherapy fabric conditioners come in three variants: relaxing, energizing and purifying - and they come in 800ml bottles and pouches, 360ml pouches and 25ml sachets.

Pink Me Up Beauty Nail and Dry Bar: The Perfect Place for Girly Girls and Not-So-Girly Girls

I will be the first to admit that I'm not much of a girly girl. I'd choose laser tag over a mani-pedi any day and would prefer to take out cars in Burnout than watch a chick flick.

However, I do love pretty things and I do love catching up with my girls. So, when the opportunity came up to review Pink Me Up Beauty Nail and Dry Bar, I dragged Jacky with me to the great and girly unknown and we enjoyed a couple of hours of girly-time together. That's right. Hours.

And yes, I know I said "girly" a lot up there. Sorry. :p

Pink Me Up Beauty Nail and Dry Bar is located in Lee Gardens Condominium along Shaw Boulevard. The building is pretty easy to find and it's awesome coz they have a Starbucks downstairs (Starbucks makes everything awesome). However, I will admit that the maze-like interiors of the building creeped the hell out of me.

The creepiness faded pretty quickly once we got to Pink Me Up itself, though. Why? Because their interiors look exactly the way my dream condo would look.

Unfortunately, I live with a manly bear of a man and a hyper ball of nonsense, so my dream condo will have to wait for now. Just look at how beautiful it is, though:

That's a TV, but we decided to catch up instead of watch anything girly. :p

How. Beautiful. Is. This.
I can already imagine all of my books lined up on those shelves.

The closet princess in me was squealing in delight, I swear.

My type of reading! :p

Too pretty for words.

Jacky enjoying a hand massage while reading Cosmo!

Photo by and taken from Jacky.
In true un-girly girl fashion, my choice of reading material was GQ. :p

Super pampered!

My favorite part: choosing my nail colors!
I was going to go for a galaxy-like navy blue, but then I saw this:

Black nail polish that looked like it had stars in it - perfect for the angry rocker chick idealist in me! Sooo pretty! :D

Now, my biggest pet peeve when it comes to mani-pedis is that the nail polish chips so quickly and I end up wishing I had just done my own nails at home.

Well, I definitely vouch for Pink Me Up's services. Why? My polish lasted for 10 days before they started chipping. And even then, they didn't chip badly until 5 more days after that. (Yes, I counted.)

What else did I love about Pink Me Up? They had disposable pumice scrubs (perfect for my OC-ness!), free tea and services for kids. I know where I'm taking Syrena next time! :D

Aside from nail services, they also have massage and hair services, which we sadly weren't able to try that day because we were excited to catch Magic Mike. :p We loved the experience, though! (Read Jacky's review here.) Thank you so much, Pink Me Up, for the wonderful treat. I can't wait to go back!

And check this out:

They sell Alcatel One Touch phones there at a cheaper price, too! You get a free mani-pedi when you buy one! :)

Pink Me Up's services range from Php200 to Php650. Go get your girly fix now (and invite me, please)! Hehe. Also, don't forget to like Pink Me Up on Facebook! :)

Bioessence: 17 and Loving It!

Who hasn't heard of Bioessence?

I remember the very first time I heard about Bioessence was when I moved here and asked my sister-in-law for spa recommendations. She kept raving and raving about their services in Davao, but until yesterday, I hadn't actually tried any of their services myself.

Suffice to say, I'm so glad I did. Thanks to Ava of Artsy Fartsy Ava, I was able to attend the Bioessence Bloggers' Event yesterday in their Greenhills Connecticut branch. And, as always, I was early.

The perks of being early during this event, though, was that I was able to get my 15 minutes back massage and my facial before everybody else and was even able to extend my back massage to a full 30 minutes. MUCH. NEEDED.

Ruth was so kind, funny and accommodating.

She even took my picture while I was getting my chair back massage! Haha. (This is the only picture of me in this post because I had to get rid of my makeup for the facial afterwards. What is vanity!)

The facilities were very comfortable and relaxing at Bioessence Connecticut, but none of us fell asleep because they played Waka Waka on repeat to go with their awesome and unforgettable jungle safari theme for the day.

I love how they were all decked out for the theme!

The atmosphere in the spa was awesome!

This time for Africa!

The ever-fashionably-late bloggers, Ava and Ana of The Fashionista Commuter.
We all got rained on/lost/stressed out that day because we couldn't find the venue, but Bioessence helped us all feel much better in the end. Ava even won an L-Glutathione gift pack in the raffle!

I also met new blogger friends there who kept me company. :)

Basically, they stuck nail art stickers (from Bangkok, no less!) to our nails.

Afterwards, they cut it and put on a top coat. All done!
Those are Ana's nails above!

And here are Ava's nails!

Ana's new teardrop necklace now available at Anagon Collection! :)

Bioessence is one of the leaders of beauty and wellness in the Philippines today and this month, they are celebrating 17 whole years of making Filipinas' bodies, skin and lives more beautiful.

The incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating staff at the Biossence Greenhills Connecticut branch.
Thank you, Miss Rachel Posas, managing director, for having me! :)

Want to try out their services yourself, but aren't willing to commit to spending too much money on them just yet? Then it's your lucky week! To celebrate their anniversary, Bioessence is offering a 50% discount on premium services until October 30, 2011. Plus, you will get a chance to win jewelry, designer bags and other items if you go.

It gets better! Like we did, you can get a guided tour of all of their facilities beforehand and learn more about their services. They also serve refreshments and will give free consultations upon your request.

So, what are you waiting for? Get some much-needed me-time at one of the following Bioessence branches today: SM Southmall, Greenbelt, Las Pinas, West Avenue, or Greenhills.

After the relaxing day that I had there and after getting to know their friendly staff members, I will make sure to visit Bioessence more often now, too. Good thing I got these:

Queen of Sheba's milk bath, here I come! :)

Happy birthday, Bioessence, and thank you very much for having me! :)

You can follow Bioessence on Twitter and like their Facebook page today for more updates on their latest services and promos.

P.S. Here are some more photos, courtesy of Raph Hilario - thank you, handsome! :)
