TBDress' Designer Dresses for Less

This dress, for one, is one of the most stunning dresses I have seen in a long time. I don't usually express intense interest in dresses coz I'm not a girly girl per se, but I definitely need to have it in my closet. Seriously: isn't it gorgeous?

A Personal Experiment on Mobile Data Usage with Globe

A Personal Experiment on Mobile Data Usage with Globe

I'm gonna be honest: "mobile data usage" never meant anything to me before. I used to just survive on the Internet that my Sun Broadband Pocket Wi-Fi provided me (even though half of the time - especially in the Fort! - all that I wanna do is rip my hair out coz there's no Sun signal there).

When my friend Renee got a new phone a few days ago, though, she started talking about mobile data usage. We don't use the same mobile network, so she was asking how my LTE was and whether 1GB was actually enough for mobile data usage during the day (she basically thinks 1GB isn't even close to being enough for a day).

I had no idea. Thus this experiment.

I'm a prepaid user, so I loaded up and signed up for Globe's SuperSurf999 Surf promo, good for 30 days. After that, I downloaded the "My Data Mgr" app, so I could properly monitor my mobile data usage.

Then, I promised myself to act as if I wasn't doing this experiment (so I wouldn't cheat and skimp on my mobile data usage) and just use my phone as usual.

Now, it is important to note that, as a blogger and a workaholic, I am constantly on my phone and the only time that I am not connected to the Internet is when I am asleep. I do have Wi-Fi at home, though, so that helps me save on using mobile data.

My Mobile Data Usage Results

Yes, I am a very precise person.

I took this screenshot exactly 24 hours after signing up for SuperSurf999 and as you can see, I only used 53MB of my mobile data.

Okay, I did use 115MB on Wi-Fi - but even combined, that's only a total of 168MB - still very far from the 1GB per day allotted in Globe's Fair Use Policy.

Also, I used Wi-Fi 69% of the time coz… why not? I've come to find that using mobile data makes my phone feel hot and drains my battery faster, so why keep it on if there's good Wi-Fi around?

My main point is that I wasn't even close to consuming 1GB yesterday. Why some people have been complaining about 1GB or 3GB per month is beyond me.

Of course, it is also important to note that I don't abuse my mobile data by downloading huge files, though. All that I do is check emails, tweet, check Facebook, check more emails, search for things on Google and stream a lotta stuff on YouTube.

So, if you're a fair user - that's why it's called FAIR Use Policy, after all ;) - 3GB per month is more than enough for you to get things done. Of course, I've only been monitoring my mobile data usage for a day, though.

I'll tell you if I still feel the same way after a week. :) Stay tuned!

MADTVPH02 Starts Tomorrow!!! Are You Ready?

MADTVPH02 starts tomorrow!

MADTVPH02

That's right! We're baaaaack!!! Did you miss us? :)

If you've been with us since MadTVPH01, then I'd like to start this post by saying THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of the support, the love, the tweets, and the encouragement that you have been sending our way. :)

When we ventured into this project, we really had no idea how it would turn out and here we are: a day before Season 2 and raring to share all of the footage that we have been filming during the off-season. (That's right - we've been filming while we were off-season! No rest - but lots of fun, laughter and smiles - for the wicked!)

Your MADTVPH02 Hosts

MADTVPH02

If you follow me on Twitter (@the_lil_miss) and Instagram (@lilmisswonderwoman), then you might have gotten lil glimpses of what me and my on-the-go buddy and one of my best buds, Miko Carreon, have been up to for our segment on Food and Travel.

I'm proud to announce that #MikAnj is going strong and I can't wait for more kulitans with him this MADTVPH02! I couldn't ask for a better co-host and, if you haven't noticed, we're the only tandem in the team. Hahaha. Everyone else is flying solo. We're co-dependent and proud! :p

MADTVPH02

This season for MADTVPH02, our DIY queen Ana Gonzales has also "evolved" from her DIY segment. This time around, she will be sharing her experiences as a blogger, covering exclusive events and partying the night away for you to get a glimpse of what her hectic life is like behind her cool, calm and sunny exterior.

Since she won't be in the US this season, she'll also be spending more of our live segments with us! Woohoo! She only went live with us twice last season, but she really owned the mic that second time - don't you agree?

MADTVPH02

Dani Barretto will be focusing on Fashion and Beauty this time around, giving you tips, sharing new trends and doing a few DIY projects of herself...

MADTVPH02

…while Mikyle Quizon will be taking over for gadgets, apps and all things tech!

I know Seph has always been the Gadget Guy in everyone's eyes, but I'm afraid he won't be joining us for MADTVPH02. :( See, he's busy being an entrepreneur right now. Naks! Please do check out his online shop on Instagram and support him: @sephcham_shop :)

To make up for the loss of Seph, though, we've got a huge surprise for you!!! Our newest host… *dun dun dun dunnn*

MADTVPH02

THE David Guison!!! And the best part? He'll be taking his hotness to a whole new level by focusing on all things fitness. That's right. Expect a lot of sweaty, sexy, arms-flexing-filled fun with Dave at MADTVPH02! ;)

So… I ask you again as MADTVPH02 starts tomorrow: are you ready?
