Couple Shots: Something Awesome.

Take it from me: no relationship is perfect.

Just take us, for example. From the outside, Gerd and I seem perfect for each other in every single way, but trust me: our relationship has its fair share of ups and downs, as well.

Since I'm generally an impatient person, this has posed to be quite a problem for us because all I ever want to do is give up at the smallest sight of a problem.

Fortunately, Gerd is patient enough to deal with my mood swings and persistent enough to keep reminding me that the good times that we have far outshine the bad times. #cheeseballs

So, if you're currently facing hardships in your relationship, that doesn't necessarily mean that you should give up. If you truly love each other, then keep going. After all, there is always that chance that you will stumble onto something even awesomer in the end - something that you would never have stumbled onto alone.

This doesn't mean that you should keep hanging on to something that simply isn't working anymore, though. The key is to spot when a relationship is going through a bump in a road or has actually fallen into a helpless nothingness.

If you find yourself at a complete loss, turn to your friends for advice. Or, if you don't have any (which I hope isn't the case), or would just rather keep your problems private, then turn to your faith. It sounds corny, but I've always found prayers to be a great help, even if my problem isn't relationship-related. :)
