McCormick Bread Spread: The Perfect Solution for Cooks and Non-Cooks Alike

If I were ever to get married, I'd be the worst wife in the world. I hate cleaning. I have crappy priorities when it comes to grocery-shopping. I have even crappier priorities when it comes to interior design. I can't drive. And I can't cook.

Fortunately, I'm not a wife yet, so I get by with take-out food, food delivery hotlines and food preparations that don't require any form of cooking at all. Sadly, there are only so many ways you can make ham and cheese sandwiches and the like. That's why I was so happy when I heard of McCormick Bread Spreads and attended their launch.

McCormick bread spreads come in three different flavors:

For the garlic lovers, there is the garlic bread spread.
Blame the (Anne Rice, not Twilight) vampire in me, but I'm not a big fan of garlic, unfortunately.

For the cheese lovers, there is the herb parmesan bread spread.
I absolutely loved this one coz I'm a sucker for cheese!

And for the more adventurous peeps, there is the pesto bread spread.
Surprisingly enough, this one was my favorite amongst the bunch!

If you can't cook like me, then your taste buds are sure to enjoy these bread spreads on bread or crackers, as chip dips, or even mixed with different kinds of meats and other spreads. You can put them on salads, too!

Confession: I sometimes enjoy these spreads so much that I eat them on their own. ...I squeeze them into my mouth like whipped cream. I'm weird. I know.

Our taste platter.

Since McCormick bread spreads don't have any trans fats and come in no-mess squeezable tubes, you can also bring them with you wherever you want: to the office, to picnics, or in your kids' lunch boxes.

Of course, if you aren't a loser like me and can actually cook, you can do as Stephanie Zubiri does and use the bread spreads in your favorite food dishes, too:

Just check out what she did with her pasta:

She used the garlic bread spread to make this.

What was so cool about the launch was that the buffet consisted of food, in which the bread spreads were used:

Pesto Orange Balsamic Salad, Garlic Herb Lemon Zest Carbonara and Grilled Stuffed Chicken Breast with Roasted Veggie Millefeuille

Made me wish I could cook myself... :(

They also had a cooking challenge for the guests, wherein they had to use the bread spreads in three different dishes!

And the challenge begins:

Their finished products:

From G's team.

From Myke's team.

Myke's team won!

After that, they had another game, where guests had to taste various sandwiches and guess which bread spread was used on each of them.

Looked like it was harder than it seemed!

Look who else I ran into at the event! A blast from the past: Yshy Igdanes of Something Yshy :D So good to see you!

Without a doubt, McCormick bread spreads are now a regular part of my kitchen cabinet arsenal. Make it a part of yours, too. Just look for McCormick bread spreads at your neighborhood supermarkets! :)
