Camp Zambales: Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of Camp Zambales.

As briefly mentioned in my first post of Camp Zambales, I wasn't able to sleep much coz of Gerd's drunken "tired" snoring. Since I used his chest as my pillow, I found myself tossing and turning fidgeting in place more than sleeping that night coz there were four of us inside a single tent. Unfortunately, since we had drinks the night before, I don't have any sardines-in-a-tent pictures to show. Sorry!

Anyway, I was looking forward to Day Two the most because it was the day that we would climb up a Spanish lighthouse and I'd get to cross "climb up a Spanish lighthouse" off my bucket list! :D

Since my contact lenses melted the night before, I had to wear Dave's glasses all day just to be able to see. Fortunately, we have the same grado.

Unfortunately, the waves were incredibly intense that day, so we weren't able to go to the lighthouse, after all.

*INSERT SUPER INTENSE HULK-LIKE TANTRUM HERE*

I guess that just means that I do have to go back one day, enjoy the stars a second time around and finally climb that lighthouse. I WILL MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Wait and see.

To calm myself down, we spent the day soaking up the sun at the beach instead and getting nigguh-ed up. We also took photos. Lots of it.

Of course, Miko and Dave were too busy taking vain hot photos of themselves, so Gerd and I had to get the party started on our own.

We call this the "Explorer Pose". :p

bikini from Roxy
flip flops from Crocs

After the DVF x Roxy event, I was able to finally get a new wallet from Roxy along with this bikini. It actually took me forever to choose one and when I did (as seen above), the bottoms were too small. I bought it anyway, though, and the good news is that they fit me now... I just need to get rid of that muffin top. Haha. My body is a work in progress. Bear with meee! :p

Miko and Dave eventually joined us and here we are, complete as can be:

I read an article on How to Love Your Family on Thought Catalog once that said, "You can't love a group of people that much without some hate bleeding into it." And while that may be true about families - God knows how true that is for mine! - I am so proud to say that that doesn't hold true with the boys. :)

GerdDavid and Miko are the kinds of people whom I can talk to about anything without having to worry about them backstabbing me or telling the world what we just talked about. As friends, we accept each other's flaws and laugh about the bad times, and bad vibes just never seem to make it into our circle when we're together, no matter what. :)

Yes, I love Dave, even if he ruins photos. Haha. I wonder what he was doing...

A moment of fatness luxury before heading back to Manila for some Yellow Cab pizza and pasta, and Vanilla Cupcake Bakery cupcakes. :p

It's definitely hard to find a group of friends that you can love like family, but I definitely love these guys like family right now and I wouldn't trade them for the world. :) Thank you for making my birthday weekend memorable. :*

Two birthdays down, two more to go. Haha.
Mercato Crew Represent! :p

Thanks again, Byaheng Victory, for the trip! :) Looking forward to the next one!
