I Believe.

You're prolly sick and tired of me talking about my birthday by now, especially since an entire week has already passed. But, yes, it was my birthday last week and I now feel older than ever.

I guess that makes sense since I am currently the oldest I have ever been... However, I am also the youngest that I will ever be again... Did I confuse you? Lol.

As if to battle all of the wrinkles that I can literally feel growing on my skin as I type, I decided to dress young and girly when Gerd took me on my birthdate. We ate at Yabu and I may or may not have squealed, yodeled and did a lil dance after picking up my copy of "The Hobbit" from Astroplus (thank you, Magnavision! :D)

Aaaaand here's what I wore... if you were shocked by this outfit post, then this is sure to shock you even more...

pink skort from Aisa Ipac

Yes, I'm wearing pink. And I have flowers in my hair. Lol. I can't even begin to describe Gerd's reaction when he came to pick me up from home that day. It's like he was praising God that his girlfriend was, in fact, a girl after all. :))

floral headband from Bangkok

Funnily enough, I actually bought this headband as a pasalubong for my twin Kyle, but Kyle ended up going to Bangkok, as well. So... it's mine now! :p What do you think? Can I pull off the girly girly girl look? :)

mantra bracelets from Wear Mauve
gold necklace from House of Luxe
Wonder Woman shirt from SM Teens

If you like superheroes as much as I do, then you need to go and explore the SM Teens section in any SM Department Store. I went completely batshit nuts when I walked in and found an entire section full of Wonder Woman t-shirts. I ended up buying one of each design... there were 12... I regret nothing.

And, of course, I gotta wear my trusty mantra bracelets for good vibes! Even when I feel the slightest bit down, I make it a point to wear these now. Instant pick-me-upper! :)

black heels from Nine West

My daddy always makes it a point to buy me shoes whenever he goes out of the country on business. What's funny is that he always comes back with a pair of heels. Black ones. From Nine West. Every. Single. Time. Fortunately, you can never go wrong with black. :) And despite the color, these are still girly enough to be worn with my chosen ensemble. Don't you think? :)

I may be dinosaur-old now and past my prime, but that won't stop me from dreaming about my Prince Charming, perfect foot-popping kisses and happily ever afters. Who decides when you're too old to believe in anything, anyway?

So, don't stop believing; keep popping that foot; keep squealing, yodeling and doing lil dances when you're happy about something; and never, ever stop falling in love with the lil things in life. :)

John Lennon put it perfectly:

"I believe in everything until it's disproved, so I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons... It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?"

Amen, John. Amen.
