The Patriot.

A patriot, by definition, is someone who supports his country so much that he is prepared to defend it against any enemies or detractors.

However, this doesn't mean that celebrities should be banned from visiting the country just because they made some side comment about Manila being cockroach-infested (isn't it, though?) or because they made a meme of Pacquiao being pawed on by Simba (wasn't it funny, though?). Come on.

Let's not forget that many Filipinos recently stuck the heads of American basketball players onto dinosaur bodies, too. :) Did the U.S. start swearing at the Philippines for doing so? I think not. Keep calm and take a chill pill, Mr. Patriot. :)

Speaking of heads of American basketball players being stuck onto dinosaur bodies, here's what I wore to celebrate the final win of Miami Heat - the official team of the daddy and the boyfie. As you can see, there's a lot of red involved. And patriotism. Let's not forget the patriotism. :p

modern American flag skirt from Copper

Just another awesome stars-and-striped item to add to my collection. I may not be over-the-top patriotic, but my closet definitely is! :p

Fun fact: I'm American by birth and citizenship, so my heart has that special soft spot reserved for it.

silver spiked cuff from Sarah Delluta

Days in the South always call for laid-back, I-don't-care-what-I-look-like outfits. Do I fit the bill of casual nonchalance or what? :)

Coincidentally, I saw Sarah walk by with her boyfie that day. She actually gave me that spiked bracelet that I wear almost constantly now. Hi, Sarah! Thank you again! :)

red flats from World Balance

Ask Gerd: I fell in love with these flats at first sight. I saw them during our World Balance store visit, decided I needed to have them, and have them I did. :) Call me out of the loop, but I had no idea that World Balance had such a wide range of shoe designs now. To say that I went absolutely gaga over them all would be an understatement.

Will actually be having a shoe giveaway for a pair of World Balance shoes soon! Watch out for it! :)

"Peace out, homes."

So... how patriotic are you?
