My First PBA Experience - Yes, This is a Basketball Post.

Believe it or not, my lil self used to play basketball. (I tried to find photographic evidence of this, but don't have any on Facebook, for some reason.) In fact, I was pretty good at it, even though I always popped my foot whenever I took a shot. Plus, I absolutely loved it.

Aside from streaming basketball games online, though, the closest I have been to an actual basketball game since high school would be arcade basketball. (SIDE FACT: Whenever I play versus mode in the arcade with someone, I win. That's right. Currently undefeated. Boom.)

So, when Lana invited me to go watch the Barako Bull Energy game against the Petron Blaze Boosters on March 21, 2012 at the Araneta Coliseum, I didn't hesitate to say yes. Even though I was still at the Mosbeau Launch at the time, was coming from Makati and had the Hunger Games premiere to catch at night. What is basketball love (and knowing that basketball players are yummy sometimes - apir tayo, Ana! :p)

I tried to take some photos that day, but I definitely had the wrong lens with me. It bothered me so much, I stopped trying.

But, hey, check out Shawn Weinstein of Barako Bull Energy!
Remember him from my Reebok post? :)
Who wants to see more of him on my blog, say I! Haha.

Anyway, that game also happened to be the game with the most EPIC flop ever. If you missed it, you gotta check out what Pennisi did here:

Barako Bull Energy has done pretty darned well this season and so far, they have actually won their first game in the semi-finals against Talk 'n' Text, which took place on the 10th, so it's looking good. :) Really hope they win! Go, Barako!!! :D

I had such a great time watching the game overall. (Barako won. Duh.) Thank you so much, Lana, for the invite, the ticket and the chikas! I had forgotten how big of a part basketball used to play in my life and this really brought back some great memories. I really hope our condo builds a lil court soon (we have a huge football field instead... WTF.)

Any sports fanatics out there? Any PBA fanatics out there? Any Shawn fanatics, maybe? Haha. Speak up. I'd love to hear how you guys feel about sports for a change. :)

For more information on the PBA, visit the official website here, like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.
